Information about the school

St Gregory’s is a mixed-form-entry primary school in Margate with 300 pupils and large outdoor areas. We are a Catholic school but welcome both Catholic and non-Catholic families.

St Gregory's is part of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP), a Multi-Academy Trust that believes in providing excellent pastoral care, promoting traditional values and supporting staff to achieve the very best for pupils. KCSP also has a strong CPD programme, competitive rates of pay and opportunities to work across the schools in the Trust to further career aspirations.

The school has recently been through both a successful Ofsted (Feb 2025) and Catholic Schools Inspection (CSI), achieving ‘Good’ judgements in both and an Outstanding rating in Personal Development (Ofsted) and Catholic Life and Mission (CSI).

Inspectors describe a school where ‘Pupils are polite and courteous. Corridors ring with the friendly greetings they offer each other and adults. Pupils’ positive conduct is evident in the purposeful classrooms. Pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds do well because the expectations of what they can achieve are high.’

The school is now increasingly popular with parents and already oversubscribed for next year. With new homes being built all around us as well, this is an exciting time to be a part of our school community.

Children here are incredibly welcoming and loving and fully commit to our values of Friendship; Forgiveness, Perseverance, Truthfulness and Thankfulness. We actively look to promote Catholic values and expect our staff to do the same, whether they are Catholic or non-Catholic.
