Advert

Ramsgate Arts Primary School is looking for a Minibus Chaperone.

We are looking for a chaperone for our daily minibus collection to supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety, comfort and conduct whilst on their journey to school.

We are looking for someone that will:

  • Ensure the children feel welcomed, cared for and safe on their route to school
  • Collect the children safely from their homes in the morning and build a rapport with parents and carers

 You will:

  • Have a cheerful and patient disposition
  • Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
  • Understand good behaviour strategies
  • A flexible can-do attitude

In return you will be offered:

  • A supportive team - from coaches to teachers to administrative staff!
  • A leadership team committed to delivering the best for our children
  • Fantastic and enthusiastic children who make the job extremely worthwhile

The contract will be a fixed term appointment for one year in the first instance.

Whilst school-based experience is not a necessity, a genuine interest in children is - you need to like children, to want the very best for them and be prepared to put their needs first. Children will be at the heart of your work; you must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child within a creative and innovative school setting.

Hours: 5 hours per week, term time only until 31st August 2023

Ramsgate Arts Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including reference checks with previous employers and an enhanced DBS check.

Information about the trust

Our One Childhood One Chance philosophy resonates throughout everything we do at the Viking Academy Trust.

At Viking, we make sure that our ultimate focus and core purpose remains excellent teaching and learning for every child. Our teaching is progressive and adaptive and we strive for the best outcomes for all. We invest time and training into our staff so that they can invest their skills and expertise into our children.

For children to thrive, they need to feel that they belong. Our people and our environments are warm and welcoming. Every member of our staff invests in building strong relationships with children and getting to know children well means we can focus on equity of opportunity.

This means that we can prioritise social and emotional learning along with the academic as we know that children need to learn how to be resilient, to have healthy and safe relationships and to face the world with problem solving skills.

We nurture children to become responsible citizens, ready to face the modern world and to make the most of their every potential both academically and socially. At Viking schools, we have high standards and expectations and we know how to support children to reach them.
