Ramsgate Arts Primary School is looking for a Dance and Sports Coach.

Are you a caring, enthusiastic person with an interest in dance and sports who is looking for an opportunity to bring your experience to an outstanding staff team at Ramsgate Arts Primary School? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

We are looking for a Dance and Sports Coach who will enjoy being part of the team running sports and dance sessions for our children

Our coaches are led by our PE leader and the successful candidate will assist the PE leader to provide engaging dance and PE lessons for children from Reception through to Year 6. 

The successful candidate will be required to engage with children by providing a varied selection of dance, sports and active play opportunities ensuring their wellbeing and maintaining their safety within school guidelines and policies.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven coaching experience
  • Dance knowledge and experience
  • Proven experience working with primary school aged children
  • Great team-work and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of successful behaviour management
  • The belief that physical activity plays a key role in a child's education
  • A keen interest in learning and a willingness to engage in training
  • A high level of motivation, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

The contract will be a fixed term appointment for one year in the first instance.

Whilst school-based experience is not a necessity, a genuine interest in children is - you need to like children, to want the very best for them and be prepared to put their needs first. Children will be at the heart of your work; you must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child within a creative and innovative school setting.

Please note that this role will include periods of working outside, all year round.

Hours: 6 hours per week, term time only until 31st August 2023
