We are looking to appoint a highly effective Secretary/Admin Assistant to work in our amazing school.

The position is for 3 days a week (8.30am- 4.30pm) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

The salary based on Kent Range 3 £19,293 FTE, pro-rated to £9,460.04 for 21 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and on paper. They must be reliable and enjoy all aspects of organisational and administrative work. He/she should be enthusiastic, organised, pro-active and a multi-tasker who is able to provide a wide range of administrative support to the school as a whole.

The ideal candidate will be confident in using a range of admin software including the Office 365 platform and be familiar with or be willing to be trained on the school’s information management system (Arbor).

Due to the scope of the role, the ability to prioritise and remain flexible whilst maintaining excellent service standards is absolutely essential.

 The successful candidate will:

  • have experience of customer service or reception duties, preferably within an education setting
  • have excellent verbal communication skills
  • be able to work independently and within a team
  • have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • have excellent communication and administrative skills
  • be confident in the use of IT with a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.

Wrotham Road Primary is a large multi-cultural school in the heart of Gravesend. The school is popular and successful and in July 2016 received a "Good" in our Ofsted inspection.
