We have two vacancies for temporary teaching assistants in the Reception class and Key Stage 1 to start as soon as possible.   These posts are likely to be for a year initially.  Both are full time although part time will be considered. 

This role involves supporting a child with ASD and other needs to ensure that they access learning and play. You will also deliver their specific programmes and work with other children in the class and with small groups. 
This is a great opportunity to work with alongside experienced, outstanding teachers and develop your skills. 

Experience is essential although training is provided.  You must be able to work as part of team, be proactive and have good organisational skills. A good level of English and Maths is crucial.

Our school motto is ‘a friendly, happy place to learn’ and you will join a happy and successful team with children who love to come to school. The post is for 27 ½ hours a week (8.45am-3.15pm) and is paid at Kent Range 4, term time only.

Information about the school

Canterbury Road Primary School is a one form entry primary school close to Sittingbourne town centre and within easy reach of the M2, M20 and the train station.

We have interested, curious children who love to learn and enjoy coming to school. Our children make excellent progress from their start points and progress & attainment are above national levels at KS2 as they move into their secondary education. We have highly skilled staff who are committed to the development of the whole child and a have an unwavering focus on all pupils achieving their best.
