We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our professional and dynamic class teams from September 2022.

This position is offered initially for one year due to increasing numbers but could potentially be extended. 

As a Learning Support Assistant at Bethersden Primary School, you will support the delivery of well-structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum plan, adapting your teaching style to respond to strengths and to meet the needs of our pupils.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a qualified Learning Support Assistant who ideally has previous successful experience of supporting in a primary classroom. We are lookimng for some who has recent experience of supporting in Key Stage 2 but above all, we want a Learning Support Assistant who will inspire and motivate our children and engage with parents to enable children to achieve the best possible learning outcomes.

Wea re set ina beautiful, rural location with lots of outdoor spcae, our children are well behaved and love to please. We are a supportive team who develop every member of our team with carefully planned CPD opportunities. With the help of our children, parents, staff and governors we have recently re-written our vision and are excited to begin delivering it from this September.

We had our Ofsted in January 2018 which judged us to be good, but we want to be excellent. If you feel you are the right candidate to help us on our journey, we want you on our team!

Information about the school

We are a small, friendly, village primary school with 120 children taught in 6 classes. Our rural location just off the A28 between Ashford and Tenterden means we serve families from the village and the wider area. We have received a Good grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2023).

Our large site has extensive grounds, which includes a gardening area and large playing field.

We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring our children excel through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support.
