Advert

Gad’s Hill School requires a talented and passionate teacher of Spanish for the duration of a Maternity Cover, anticipated to commence on 31st October 2022. The majority of teaching will be to classes in our Upper School (Key Stages 3 and 4), but will also include some work with the older pupils in our Lower School (Key Stage 2).

Spanish is compulsory up to the end of KS3, and from Lower Fourth (Year 9) upwards is taught as an option subject to small GCSE groups, where the school uses the AQA exam board. There are two teachers of Spanish in the School, with the second responsible for delivering lessons to our younger Lower School pupils.

Experience of teaching examination classes in GCSE MFL and of conducting speaking examinations will be essential.

Teaching staff are required to be present on-site from 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday in term time, plus to attend such evening and weekend events as the Headmaster may reasonably require.
