We are looking to appoint a Cover Lead to join our well-respected and lively Support Team in supporting the management and organisation of scheduled and unscheduled absence of staff within TWGSB.

 

Overall Responsibility: 

  • Managing and organising cover for absent staff both teaching and non-teaching.
  • Supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teachers.
  • The line management of all cover supervisors including their induction, training and appraisal.
  • Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people with regard to the area child protection procedures.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised with a high attention to detail, a co-operative team player, proactive and able to plan their work effectively over the exams cycle of the year.

The main site for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, you may be required to work at other sites connected to TWGSB. 

  • Contract: Permanent; term-time only plus five inset days (39 weeks per year) and up to five days in August (additional days paid on claim)
  • Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week                                                          
  • Salary: Kent Range 7 (FTE: £23,378–26,466, actual salary for working 39 weeks per year £20,196.82–22,864.62)
  • Responsible to: Senior Leadership Team
