Teaching Assistant - 30 hours per week

 The Role (will include)

  • Support children in classes in the delivery of quality learning and teaching
  • Providing classroom, 1:1 or small group support
  • Supporting the child/children with their educational, behavioural, emotional and social development
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with children, whist treating them with respect and consideration
  • Providing expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupils learning
  • Having the highest expectation that every child will make sustained academic and personal progress
  • Using your strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills to help develop the pupil’s standards

The Person must:

  • Preferably have experience of working in school as a teaching assistant or similar
  • Possess a minimum of GCSE grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics 
  • Work well in a dedicated team committed to providing every child with the support and opportunities they need to progress in their learning
  • Demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm in their interaction with children and colleagues
  • Be able to work collaboratively with a range of adults eg SEN Leadership, Teachers, other TA’s
  • Have the desire to grow and develop

This Fixed Term appointment will start in September, 2022 and end on 31st August, 2023.  The post will be for 30 hours per week, term time only.

Salary will be The Decus Educational Trust (TDET) Range 3: £13,167 per annum, including pro rata holiday pay (equivalent to £19,293 per annum for a full-time, all year round post).
