An opportunity is available for a Site Manager at our school.

The post is for 32 hours a week + additional time, Monday to Friday

Salary - Kent Range 7 (£23378 - £26466)

Our school is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual who is self-motivated and able to demonstrate that they are active, versatile, well organised and reliable, with excellent communication skills. A range of skills and expertise in relevant maintenance and DIY related tasks are essential - skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrics would serve you well in this post.

You will be responsible for safety, security, facilities and liaising with contractors as well as the general maintenance needs of the school and grounds, duties include:-

Unlocking/locking the school for the school day and any lettings outside school hours. To act as key holder, which also includes responding to 'call out' when the alarm sounds out of hours
Maintaining all areas of our school site both internally and externally including small repairs
Liaising with KCC Central Services Team
Liaising with contractors
Liaising with our cleaning contractors – overseeing cleanliness of the buildings.
Arranging for annual inspections e.g. gas, asbestos, fire extinguishers, electrical safety etc
Ensuring the outside areas are kept tidy and liaising with the landscaping company who maintain the school grounds.
Maintaining stocks of consumables e.g. toilet rolls, paper towels, Replacing consumables e.g. lightbulbs and batteries
Working flexibly to support school events e.g. parents evenings, PTA events.
Attend training courses as required
Be responsible for the annual plan of all site management works, obtaining costings and quotes and quality assuring the results.

You will manage any additional workers on site, overseeing the efficient completion of any planned maintenance as well as unplanned emergencies.

Information about the school

Stocks Green is a successful one form entry school in the village of Hildenborough. We have a friendly atmosphere and ethos of high expectation for our pupils. There currently have 216 children on roll, the majority of whom live in the village. We enjoy strong community links and are part of Tonbridge Village Collaboration - 6 similar local schools with whom we work closely on a wide range of development activities.

Our facilities include seven classrooms, a large hall, an excellent library, a specialist music room and a care suite with a shower facility. The Foundation Stage classroom has a covered outside learning area and garden. We are proud of our extensive grounds, which have been developed to create outdoor learning areas, including a pond area, an allotment, stage, quiet areas, Forest School, adventure playground and exercise trail. Sport and music are strengths in our school, which we actively encourage with the pupils. We run a range of extra curricular clubs and have before and after school care facilities.
