An opportunity is available for a Site Manager at our school.

The post is for 32 hours a week + additional time, Monday to Friday

 

Salary - Kent Range  7 (£23378  - £26466)                                                                                                                                                              

Our school is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual who is self-motivated and able to demonstrate that they are active, versatile, well organised and reliable, with excellent communication skills. A range of skills and expertise in relevant maintenance and DIY related tasks are essential - skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrics would serve you well in this post.

You will be responsible for safety, security, facilities and liaising with contractors as well as the general maintenance needs of the school and grounds, duties include:- 

  • Unlocking/locking the school for the school day and any lettings outside school hours. To act as key holder, which also includes responding to 'call out' when the alarm sounds out of hours
  • Maintaining all areas of our school site both internally and externally including small repairs
  • Liaising with KCC Central Services Team
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Liaising with our cleaning contractors – overseeing cleanliness of the buildings.
  • Arranging for annual inspections e.g. gas, asbestos, fire extinguishers, electrical safety etc
  • Ensuring the outside areas are kept tidy and liaising with the landscaping company who maintain the school grounds.
  • Maintaining stocks of consumables e.g. toilet rolls, paper towels, Replacing consumables e.g. lightbulbs and batteries
  • Working flexibly to support school events e.g. parents evenings, PTA events.
  • Attend training courses as required
  • Be responsible for the annual plan of all site management works, obtaining costings and quotes and quality assuring the results.

 You will manage any additional workers on site, overseeing the efficient completion of any planned maintenance as well as unplanned emergencies.

Stocks Green Primary School is a popular one form entry primary school, located in the village of Hildenborough, and has successfully served local families and community for the past 52 years. In May of this year, the school retained its Ofsted grading of ‘Good’ following an ungraded inspection. The report recognised that both parents and governors are exceptionally supportive of the school and it is a happy place to learn and work.
