A popular and thriving primary school requires an Attendance Support Lead to join their hardworking, dedicated Wellbeing Team on a temporary part-time contract until 31st August 2023.  The post is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 12 noon.

This is a key role to provide positive links between home and school, promote good attendance and to develop the home school partnership. You will be actively involved developing the partnership between children/parents/school by supporting and signposting parents, helping them to overcome difficulties and giving them the ability to deal with issues relating to improving absence.

Your duties will include monitoring attendance and punctuality and following up any issues. Experience with liasising with outside agencies is desirable and working with families providing support and workshops.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be approachable, patient, compassionate and understanding, flexible in their approach and have a good sense of humour. The successful applicant will be organised and able to work independently. They will have high standards of work ethic in terms of motivation, personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards and team work. Previous experience working with families, Early Help and training pertinent to the role, will be an advantage.

NVQ3 qualification or equivalent is a requirement.

Information about the school

We are a large and successful primary school, which converted to a stand alone Academy in April 2012. We operate under Hampton Collaborative Trust allowing the freedom to grow and develop with our community needs at the forefront of all decisions.

We are an inclusive, caring and constantly improving school with an exceptionally strong collaborative staff team. Our current roll is 706 children with 3 classes per year group, set teaching in the juniors to facilitate smaller class provision, a purpose built on-site nursery and a strong Well-Being Team, FLO, Play Therapist and Emotional Well-Being practitioner to provide the support and nurture for our most vulnerable children.

Our current SEND is 15% and we are constantly signposted within the local authority for our excellent SEND provision. We are also incredibly excited to be in the process of developing an ASC ARP provision to further support and nurture our SEND children.
