We are looking for a new Teaching Assistant to join our team to work initially within the Early Years Foundation Stage, in one of our Reception classes.

Our teaching assistants are highly skilled and play an active and valuable role in shaping our children's learning experiences, in partnership with our teachers.  We can offer a professional and friendly setting, with people who work hard to make Tunbury a very special place to be.

We are looking for a new Teaching Assistant for the start of the new academic year in September 2022.  This is a permanent position, with the hours of work being 35 hours per week, 8.30am-4.00pm daily, term-time only.

What can we offer?

  • A supportive ethos throughout the school
  • Strong teamwork within class, year group and phase teams
  • Sparkly, happy children

Teaching assistants work across year groups and phases to support all children, including those with SEND, as well as providing class-based support.  Children with SEND at Tunbury experience an inclusive, flexible curriculum. They learn in a nurturing environment in which they are supported to fulfil their potential.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and hold GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or equivalent.  You may already have experience working within the EYFS in pre-school or nursery settings. You will be able to uphold the school’s positive image within the community and want to make a difference to our children’s lives.

To find out more, arrange a visit to Tunbury or to talk to us about the role, please contact the school office by phone or email.  We would love you to be part of Team Tunbury.

Applications should be made through the Kent-teach website.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Please note: due to the timescales involved, we may proceed to interview and appointment as applications are received, before the closing date.
