Kite College is an exciting Independent Specialist Post-16 College in Sittingbourne, providing specialist education and training for young people with learning difficulties.  

KITE College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and forward-thinking Vice Principal to lead, develop and shape the College’s future Further and Technical Vocational curriculum developments, with a clear focus upon excellence and ensuring the quality of education is outstanding.

As an integral part of the Executive Team and College Leadership Team, the successful candidate will lead on the effective development and implementation of the College’s vision and strategic objectives for a high-quality, responsive curriculum aligned to local and national skills needs and priorities. You will be fully involved in high level strategic decision making and ensuring the College continues to provide relevant and high-quality programmes of learning at all levels for people of all abilities.

High quality teaching and learning and the effective leadership of our staff lies at the heart of this appointment. Working with the Principal and Leadership team, the successful candidate will lead the College’s curriculum and quality teams, ensuring a culture of high expectations and ongoing quality improvement, while prioritising an outstanding, inclusive experience for all learners.

The ability to demonstrate success in achieving significant levels of performance improvement within a comparable role, and extensive experience of analysing, interpreting, and presenting complex information, proposing solutions to complex problems and implementing outcomes and plans is essential.

You will be a confident, capable and effective leader of people with a demonstrable track record of innovation and achievement, and a proven ability to work externally with key stakeholders and the College’s position within the community.  You will have extensive experience within an SEN FE/HE college, be innovative in your thinking and planning capacity and support partnership working through excellent communication skills and an ethos of teamwork.
