The School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST) is an exciting new free school, opened in September 2020, with state-of-the-art facilities. We are extremely popular within the local community and have been oversubscribed. As a new school, SST presents a host of exciting opportunities for all- staff and students alike.

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor to join our foundation learning team to provide 1:1, small group and class-based support to meet the needs of identified students. You will be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development and progress in all areas of the curriculum and within a range of learning contexts.

This term time post is for 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The salary starts at £18,291.00 to £19,947.55, pro rata to points 21 to 24 of VIAT 5.

School of Science and Technology Maidstone is a fantastic, state-of-the-art secondary school, which opened in 2020, and offers a specialist curriculum for students with a flair for STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Maths) subjects.

The school is proud to offer a broad and balanced curriculum and an excellent personal development programme which aims to develop well-rounded students who will work hard to make a difference to the world around them. There is an emphasis on technology, a love of reading and the arts. There is a rich extra-curricular programme which includes over 20 clubs and societies.
