Ebbsfleet Academy is looking for an Art Technician to join the academy to support the teaching and learning of students within this department, and to provide support and services to the staff and students in line with the academy policies and procedures. Our successful candidate will be creative and enthusiastic, and it’s an ideal role for current Post 16 students or recent school leavers who would like first-hand experience in a paid position within the Art remit.

​​​​​​​Our successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining and monitoring consumables and equipment in Art, DT and Textiles to ensure all pupils are able to access a wide range of materials and processes as part of their Art provision. Our newly appointed technician will also provide technical support to staff during lesson time as required.

Ideally, our appointed candidate will hold an A Level or equivalent qualification in one or more Art related subjects. You'll be an effective communicator and be able to use your initiative. A flexible ‘can do’ attitude is also essential, as is the ability to provide the very best levels of service to all employees and stakeholders in the faculty. Our successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve to the best of their ability. You will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas.

This basis of this role is permanent and offers an actual salary of £9,575 per annum (£20,595 full time equivalent) based on 20 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week inset.
