Chartham Primary School is looking for a new Family Liaison Officer. This is a key role in our school and is valued by staff and families alike.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, empathetic and able to act on their own initiative to foster positive relationships with our families, ensuring all pupils achieve their best.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Support parents with all matters, including attendance.
  • Be part of the school’s inclusion team, which includes safeguarding and liaising with staff (including counsellor and play therapist).
  • Take a proactive role in the wellbeing of all stakeholders.
  • Strive to improve outcomes for all pupils.
  • Support parents with meetings and appointments.

Therefore they will need:

  • Confidence and experience in liaising with outside agencies, including Social Services and Early Help.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive, sunny outlook.
  • A compassionate nature.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for helping families.
  • Most importantly, a drive to make a difference to all children and families in our school.
