Goldwyn School is seeking to appoint a new small team of specialist staff to work within the Great Chart site, supporting our SEMH/ASD students who have complex additional learning needs.  

The new learning hub will operate throughout the day, providing 1 to 1 and small group work for students to receive support with specific literacy needs, social communication difficulties and emotional regulation. 

Students will be allocated time for hub support in response to needs identified within their EHCPs, provision plans and at student focus meetings.  Individual and small group intervention programmes will be planned and delivered by the hub team in collaboration with the SENCO and Centre Manager. 

The new staff will work as a team within the hub room, as well as in the wider school, supporting students’ inclusion with the curriculum and whole school community. 

The hub staff will need to have experience and knowledge of working with children suffering from a range of Adverse Childhood Experiences and SEND diagnosis such as ASD, ODD, PDA, ADHD and Anxiety.  

We are looking for a Teacher (qualified or unqualified) with suitable training and/or experience in the following areas: 

  • Literacy support e.g. Dyslexia,
  • Numeracy Support e.g. Dyscalculia
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Mental Health e.g. Anxiety,
  • Social Skills
  • Speech & language therapies
  • Occupational Therapies
  • Legotherapy
  • Personal Development & Safety

 This position is initially for a temporary one year contract from 01.09.22 to 31.08.23.
