Advert

At Crockenhill Primary School our aim is to provide each and every child in our care with the opportunites to become the very best version of themselves within a caring and nurturing environment which allows us all to learn from each other;  our mistakes and our successes.

We are looking for that special someone to join our team and enhance our provision, to provide additional support within the classroom during the morning, and to organise and run a nurturing group each afternoon, supported by a second member of support staff.  You will have the acumen to organise and deliver a topic based approach, supporting the individual needs of approximately 5 children from a range of classes, currently in KS1.

You will be able to:

  • Follow SENco, class teacher and outside agency reports and advice
  • Identify and remove the barriers to learning that prevent individuals from reaching their full potential
  • Develop positive relationships with our pupils and outside agencies where appropriate, to provide a wider network for our pupils
  • Promote inclusion
  • Develop a holistic approach to children's education, where their emotional and social growth and academic achievement are all equally valued

You will have a proven track record of working with young people, including those who may have challenging behaviour, and a desire to do something worthwhile for children, with the ability to have insight to their needs.  You will be able to work well as part of the team, but also the ability to have the initiative to work independently with imagination, conscientiousness and fun.

If you think this is a role you could see yourself doing, we would be delighted to hear from you, and warmly welcome visits to the school.

Information about the school

Crockenhill Primary School is a community primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 years, occupying an attractive site, at the heart of the village of Crockenhill. We are a one form entry school, with capacity for up to 210 pupils. The school is close to the town of Swanley and boasts excellent road and rail links to London and Kent. Our buildings run seamlessly from Victorian to new build and the classrooms are bright and welcoming. We have a dedicated art room, computer suite and library and several breakout spaces for small group work. The school also has a small wildlife garden and large playing field with an area dedicated to our forest school. The school is very proud of its sporting achievements and actively engages in many tournaments.

We are a lively, happy and hardworking school where positive relationships between all members of the school community are encouraged and maintained. We are committed to providing for the needs of the whole child, both in and out of the classroom. We value input from the children, as well as parents, in helping us establish and achieve our aims. Equal opportunities are provided for, regardless of gender, ability, background or belief. In all our teaching and school life, we seek to develop trust, confidence and self-esteem, to create an environment where everyone is able to make the most of their opportunities and initiative. In order to provide the best possible education for our pupils, we set both children and adults high standards and clear aims.
