Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a role that you can make your own within a flourishing school?

We are looking for a Data manager and GDPR lead to join our team. You will be working alongside our admin team, undertaking data support, and ensuring that our MIS (Arbor) runs smoothly and that the school is GDPR compliant. You will need to be numerate and IT adept and have familiarity with Excel. Training for our specific MIS – Arbor, will be provided.

The successful candidate will be able to provide a professional customer service, whilst creating and maintaining an efficient and effective data support system for the school. You will understand the importance of GDPR compliance and be able to explain to staff how best to go about this. The day to day running of the school MIS alongside creation of reports, data interrogation and supporting with timetable creation will all be within your mandate.

As part of a busy school environment, the ability to work with students, staff, and parents in a polite and helpful manner is essential. You must also be mature and understand about the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding in taking on such a role.

What you can offer is always more important to us than your experience, so applications are welcome from anyone who is proactive with a passion for learning and a genuine commitment to bringing out the best in everyone.

Applications will be considered on receipt. Suitable candidates will be interviewed on receipt of application and Wye School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

United Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. A DBS (previously CRB) check is required for all successful applicants.

Information about the school

Wye School has a vision of excellence, a vision shared by all staff and students. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2018, the school is dedicated to ensuring each student gains the knowledge, confidence and skills to make a success of their future lives. The school caters for Years 7 -13 with a roll of 600, housed in a new building situated in the beautiful Kent Downs countryside, offering an outstanding environment for staff and students. The first GCSE results in 2018 were above average for Progress 8 and above national average Attainment 8, and followed by an equally strong second set of results in 2019. Students are well behaved and hard working and our staff form a friendly and committed team. As the smallest local secondary school, great pride is taken in strong relationships internally and with parents and the community.

Located within close proximity of Wye village centre, the school is at the very heart of the local community and has the potential to grow into a truly exceptional school. Wye is perfectly located to enjoy the Kent countryside, whilst still being within an hour of London thanks to HS1.
