As a result of Cornwallis Academy’s increasing popularity and excellent reputation in the local community, we are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of ICT/Computing with a second subject (desirable not essential) on a full time permanent basis. 

We pride ourselves on being innovative, cutting edge and look for staff who extol these qualities. Consequently, we are looking to recruit innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic people who are willing to engage in changing the face of education.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching Computing to join our developing and flourishing department. The right candidate needs to be able to teach Computing at KS3 and Creative iMedia at KS4. The ability to teach Computer Science at KS4 would also be advantageous. We run a KS5 course in Digital Media so any experience in this is also welcome. You will need to be able to inspire our young people to develop their skills in this subject area at KS3, KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate will be a creative and inspiring Teacher of ICT/Computing who:

  • Will raise achievement and deliver excellent academic outcomes
  • Can model excellence in the classroom
  • Has the training skills and experience to make a significant impact on the quality of teaching and learning
  • Has the initiative, energy and enthusiasm to enhance community and external performance opportunities
  • Is able to evaluate and improve their impact and effectiveness
  • Will provide an active link with other key colleagues to support the research, development, innovation and evaluation of teaching & learning across the school
  • Ability to teach across all Key Stages
  • Have experience using Microsoft and Windows devices 
  • Will have Qualified Teacher Status
  • Will have the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 Experience of teaching KS5 is desirable.
  • Will possess recent, relevant teaching experience
