Advert

There is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified person to join this high achieving selective school for boys as a Teaching Assistant.

The post is required June 2022 for 35 hours per week on a term time only basis and the salary will be £15,512.39 (pro rata to £19,612 for a full time appointment on HGS4).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting our pupils, with SEND, both inside and outside of the classroom, to support their progress. You will work closely with class teachers, House teams and our SENCO to support pupils. This post will initially involve working directly, one to one with a pupil on our roll with a physical disability to support his needs in the classroom and around the school site.

Good levels of literacy and numeracy are essential. Experience of working in schools and supporting pupils with SEND would be desirable but it is not essential if the successful candidate is willing to undertake relevant training with us.

Applications are welcomed from candidates fitting this profile, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.  If you think you are the person to join our team, please complete an application form (available from the School Website – www.harveygs.kent.sch.uk ).  CVs will not be accepted.

The school is commited to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

Application closing date: 12pm on Wednesday 1st June 2022

Interview date: Monday 6th June 2022
