Cornwallis Academy has produced outstanding results in recent years, and has well established Religious Education courses for Key Stage 3 and 4. We offer GCSE as an option, using Eduqas as our exam board. An enthusiastic and innovative teacher is required from September 2022 to join our already established team on a part or full-time, permanent basis in this well-resourced and successful department to teach Religious Education and some GCSE or A Level Sociology. We are very excited about the future of Religious Education in our Academy and are prepared to invest in the right people to ensure its success.

The candidate should demonstrate good organisational and ICT skills as well as excellent teaching strategies and good knowledge of the National Curriculum. ECTs are encouraged to apply.

As well as our state-of-the-art facilities, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits and extra-curricular activities.  Cornwallis Academy values positive and professional working relationships and seeks individuals who will support this ethos.

The successful candidate will be a creative and inspiring Teacher of Religous Education who will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • The ability to teach Religious Education throughout Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Possess recent, relevant teaching experience
  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire students
