Pastoral Support Coordinator

Required to start June 2022

 

Start Salary Grade 5, Points 15 -17, £17,335 - £18,260 £ (£20,595-£21,693 full time equivalent)

Term time:  37 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a motivated individual to join our team as a Pastoral Support Coordinator. The appointed person will be part of an existing team, providing and supporting the safeguarding and wellbeing of our students in a school learning environment.

Primary responsibilities will be for the pastoral management of the students and supporting the learning environment of the school such as:

  • The Pastoral Support Coordinator is responsible for dealing with students, parents and carers on a daily basis in support of the school culture and ethos, developing the school’s internal structures for student support.
  • Provide support and guidance for students in terms of their punctuality and preparedness for learning.
  • Support students in terms of behaviour and emotional wellbeing during a working day, monitoring reporting procedures, reintegration meetings, internal exclusions, external exclusions, detentions, attendance, lateness.
  • Assist in the identification of early signs of disengagement and contribute to specific interventions to encourage re-engagement with the curriculum and community life.
  • Be available to respond to calls for support for students within the school.

  • Have excellent IT skills (SIMS preferable, but training will be offered)
