Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites; Nursery & Primary (Cliffe Road) and Secondary & Further Education (Rede Court Road). Facilities include an on-site school farm.

 

The Finance Officer will work alongside 2 other finance staff who, together, are responsible for the operation of our finance department. The role will include all aspects of financial support to the school. The post holder will report to the

School Business Leader.

(This is a newly created post to add additional finance capacity)

 

This position would suit somebody with a flexible and energetic approach who enjoys working as part of a committed, friendly and supportive team. Colleagues 

will be supported with their CPD.

 

Working hours are 37 per week 52 weeks per year. Comprehensive training and induction will be provided and a recognised financial qualification is preferred. Experience of school financial management would be beneficial but not essential.

 

Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Abbey Court School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post.
