Illuminate Minds Trust is a small but aspirational trust with ambitions to grow and work collaboratively with primary and SEND schools in order to creatively meet the needs of all pupils in our communities.  We are highly inclusive and forward-thinking, believing that every child deserves the best education with the mission statement of “Excellence Every Day” as the golden thread woven through our schools.

In order to support the next chapter in our journey and ensure that our schools are a beacon of outstanding practice for SEND, safeguarding and inclusion, we are seeking to appoint a new Assistant Head Teacher (SENCo) (1 Year Fixed Term Contract) who will have a dual role which is both inward and outward facing.  The role involves working as part of the Senior Leadership Team of Pelham Primary School, managing the Specialist Resource Provision for Hearing Impaired Pupils, and leading on SEND as SENCo throughout the school, working with a team of specialist Teaching Assistants delivering high quality interventions and promoting inclusion.  As part of our future growth strategy, the Trust is keen to explore opportunities to develop partnerships beyond our local area and promote the organisation as a specialist training hub.  The role will therefore involve close working with the Trust Executive Team on the development and delivery of training to other schools and professionals.

If you are a great communicator who is well organised, innovative and creative, committed to achieving the best outcomes for all learners and puts children at the heart of all decision-making, you may be the person we are looking for!
