We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our fabulous team at Painters Ash Primary School. This is a term time only contract (38 weeks per year) for 17.50 hours per week.  FTE salary is £19,293.00 per annum.

Purpose of the Job:

To assist teachers in providing a learning enviornment that enables all children to access the curriculum and learn to the best of their ability.

To work with and support a child who has specific learning and communication needs to assist their learning and social and personal development.

The ideal Candidate Will:

  • have high expectations for all children
  • give children's social development and well-being the highest priority and recognise and value both academic and personal qualitites of children
  • have experience of working with children
  • be motivated and contribute to the ethos of our friendly school
  • be a good team player with good interpersonal skills
  • have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • be able to work with teachers and work independently to support children.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for individuals who can provide excellent support within our fantastic learning environment to work with a named chiild, as directed by the class teacher and/or SENCo, to support subjects and learning cross the whole curriculum. Ideally, you will have previous experience working with children with ASD. The successful candidate is required to be pro-active and full of energy! Additional learning or qualifications in Special Educational Needs are a bonus for the role.
