We are looking to appoint a Design Technology Technician to join our busy Design Technology department. Our established Design Technology department will enjoy brand new facilities, including new workshops and food technology room. Our school motto of "Fiat Lux" - "Let there be light" - has never been more appropriate or fitting.

If you are passionate about working with young people, relish a challenge and feel you have the necessary skills for this post, please apply.

Applications should include a completed application form, either through Kent Teach or the one found on the DGSB website.  If you have any questions, please contact the Headteacher's PA, Lizzie Reynolds, via email on lreynolds@dgsb.co.uk

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expect all staff to share in this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening including an enhanced DBS check.

Information about the school

Dover Grammar School for Boys is a selective school with approximately 900 students on roll, of whom about 180 are in the Sixth Form. Girls are also admitted to the Sixth Form.

Our recent Ofsted Inspection (January 2025) report states that 'pupils thrive at this ambitious, inclusive school. The school motto ‘Fiat Lux’ (Let There Be Light) informs all that the school does.' We moved into new accommodation in July 2022 and our new building provides us with modern, bright, spacious teaching rooms, and has increased opportunities for students both inside and outside of the taught curriculum.

However, our success both in school – we recorded fantastic Progress 8 score in both 2023 and 2024 greater than +0.50 - and within the local community means that we are already looking to expand our site and develop opportunities further.

DGSB is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expect all staff to share in this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening including an enhanced DBS check. An ‘online presence’ check may be carried out before any appointment is confirmed. All appointments are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references.

Non-contributory access to the Benenden Healthcare Scheme is offered to successful candidates.
