We are looking for an efficient, skilled and friendly person to fulfil this new and key role in our village school. The successful candidate will join our friendly and dedicated staff, who are committed to team-working and will be responsible for leading the administrative department of the school. They will also work closely with the school leadership team.

 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience of office and clerical work, preferably as a business manager in schools, colleges, business or industry.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in financial procedures, and the administration of payroll and personnel systems.
  • A flexible, organised and efficient approach.
  • Ability to lead the administrative department, the site manager and to successfully work in conjunction with the other teams in the school.
  • A high level of professional interpersonal and communication skills, and a good sense of humour.

The post will be for 37 hours per week, 40 weeks of the year. Visits to the school are welcome by appointment.
