We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our hard working and supportive team and who will make a real and lasting difference to our pupils at St Mary’s Catholic Primary.

This role would suit an excellent teacher, who is passionate to make a real impact in the classroom and contribute to the wider development of our school.

You will work in a warm, friendly and caring environment, and play an essential role in our school, in order to help our children achieve their best.

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, enriched environment to support, nurture and inspire our children’s development and learning.  You will also have a broad and comprehensive understanding of the curriculum and children’s learning, with the ability to use this appropriately in lessons.

You will oversee the learning, development and attainment of the children’s progress and have the capacity to liaise with other colleagues collaboratively, to ensure a holistic and individual approach to the children’s learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a newly qualified or experienced Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status;
  • Be committed to the school's high standards and caring inclusive ethos;
  • Have a strong commitment to raising standards;
  • Have high expectations of both self and others;
  • Be hard working and make a valuable contribution to the wider life of the school;
  • Be ambitious, creative and forward-thinking;
  • Have good SEN knowledge and experience;
  • Have excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
