The School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST) is an exciting new free school, opened in September 2020, with state-of-the-art facilities. We are extremely popular within the local community and have been oversubscribed. As a new school, SST presents a host of exciting opportunities for all- staff and students alike.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Cover Supervisor to join our team. The postholder will supervise whole classes undertaking pre-prepared activities provided by a teacher during the short-term absence of a classroom teacher. The primary focus is to maintain order and to keep students on task. See attached application pack for further details. 

This term time post is for 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The salary starts at £18,291.00 to £19,947.55, pro rata to points 21 to 24 of VIAT 5.

School of Science and Technology Maidstone is a fantastic, state-of-the-art secondary school, which opened in 2020, and offers a specialist curriculum for students with a flair for STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Maths) subjects.

In January 2023 SST was inspected by Ofsted and was graded OUTSTANDING in all categories. This is a testament to the fantastic work that has gone into making this school a brilliant place to learn and work.

The school is proud to offer a broad and balanced curriculum and an excellent personal development programme which aims to develop well-rounded students who will work hard to make a difference to the world around them.
