Job Description

Are you a creative and engaging teacher? Or someone with experience delivering an Enterprise / Social Enterprise training programme? Or with significant personal experience of enterprise or business?

bemix has been delivering a brand new Preparation for Employment programme from September 2021!

As part of this exciting programme, we are seeking to recruit a creative teacher/ group facilitator who has a good understanding of enterprise or business. Someone who will use their skills and knowledge to support young people to develop preparation for work skills, in a dynamic and stimulating learning environment. Our ultimate goal is to inspire, enable and support more young people with learning difficulties and/or autism to achieve a job and career. This role needs someone who has a passion for teaching and enterprise, enjoys forming positive relationships with young people and is energised by seeing people develop new skills, knowledge and confidence.

Fixed Term contract until end Aug 2023
Full time - 5 days a week, term time only
Location: Medway and Gravesham
Salary and benefits: £27 - 30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience +
generous employer pension contribution of 5% of salary. Salary sacrifice scheme also available.

If you have...

Experience in working alongside and supporting young people with autism and/or learning difficulties
A good understanding of enterprise or business, and how it operates
Ability to plan and deliver engaging and interactive learning sessions
Experience of directing teaching support staff
An interest in progressive teaching techniques and learning more about enterprise ideas from around the world
Experience in adapting teaching practices to suit the learning styles and needs of different students
Great interpersonal and communication skills
An understanding of the importance of Safeguarding
Ability to manage competing priorities and pressures confidently and calmly
Commitment to our vision and values and see your work as a vocation and contribution to social change
A reliable and self motivated approach to your work
