The post holders will monitor and evaluate the special educational needs provision for individual children or young people with an Education Health and Care Plan or receiving SEN Support in mainstream schools, working collaboratively with parents and carers, children and young people, schools and other stakeholders.

The post holders will also monitor, evaluate and provide guidance to support schools to further develop their special educational needs provision at a whole school level

Qualified Teacher Status, the successful completion of the National Award for SEN Coordination (or other relevant Post Graduate qualification in SEN) and experience of supporting other schools in developing their capacity to meet the needs of SEN pupils are the required qualifications and experience necessary.
