Starting salary £25,238, pro rata | Permanent Term Time (41 weeks per year), 37 hours per week |

Location: Based from Sessions House, Maidstone

The Education People is owned by Kent County Council and is a one-stop shop for education services, to help you improve learning, wellbeing and children’s development. We support the full age range from early years to young adults, with over 800 products and services available specific to education needs always. An interesting and diverse role has become available at Schools Financial Services, within The Education People, to support our customers in the delivery of our business needs.

The main duties are to provide expert advice, support and guidance to all customers as part of our helpdesk unit, to assist with the management of information systems and software packages, with the expectation that you may also be required to deliver a range of traded finance support services for schools and academies.

We are seeking an efficient, confident and organised person with financial understanding and experience within a school. Good written and verbal communications skills, IT skills, analytical and interpretive skills and the ability to work as part of a team are needed and a good knowledge of KCC financial controls and procedures would be ideal.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is required.

Term time, 41 weeks a year contract would be welcomed although a full time or part time contract will be considered for the right applicant.
