We have a vacancy for Clerk to the Governing Body. The role is part time and the number of hours varies from week to week but will be 12-15 hours per month in term time.

Duties will include providing administrative support to the Governing Body and its committees and advising on procedural legislative matters.

We are looking for an organised person with excellent interpersonal skills who can work well as part of team. They should also be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

A flexible approach to work is required. The successful applicant will be expected to work predominantly from home and have access to a computer and the internet. They will need to organise, attend meetings and take minutes. Meetings usually take place at 8am or 6.30pm.

Our school is a two form entry community school, with approximately 400 pupils. Situated conveniently, between Maidstone and Cranbrook, in a beautiful rural part of Kent, the school, with its ‘outward-facing, best practice at heart’ culture, has achieved sustained academic improvement and continues to retain an excellent, enthusiastic team of staff.

Blessed within beautiful and spacious grounds, Staplehurst School has the added benefit of two large sports halls, music room, library and a lovely Early Years outside space, as well as a Breakfast Club available from 7.30am and an After School Club until 5.30pm.
