Advert

Platt Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is a much loved, popular and valued school in the heart of a supportive community, St. Mary’s Platt, Kent. We moved into our new purpose-built school set in generous grounds in the Autumn of 2020. We are privileged to have such a dedicated team of enthusiastic and outstanding staff who ensure that we provide a robust, exciting, safe and happy learning environment for our children.

The Governors of Platt are seeking to appoint a new Head Teacher with whom our school’s ethos, vision and values clearly resonate. The school is stable, it is flourishing and is now ready to move into its next chapter of growth and development. To lead this initiative, we are seeking applications from highly regarded leaders who can inspire and deliver a clearly articulated vision and do so with integrity, vigour and true sense of community.

We are looking for:

  • A person who understands the school’s philosophy and culture whilst successfully making their own mark in driving performance and improvement
  • An inspirational leader who will strive to work with, develop and empower staff, to create a sense of collective energy and motivation amongst staff
  • Which in turn will translate into providing a vibrant learning environment, a creative and exciting curriculum and a shared passion to allow all children to enjoy every day, to fulfil their own potential, to look back on their journey at Platt with pride and happiness and to leave knowing that they have given of their best and are as prepared as they can be for their own next chapters of life
  • A caring and respected person who embraces a culture of mutual respect amongst all pupils and stakeholders and reaches out to the broader community
  • A head teacher who builds a collective sense of responsibility and accountability, who is approachable, performance driven and with strong interpersonal and management capabilities

We can offer you:

  • A school that is primed to grow where the right leader will clearly see the impact of their initiatives
  • Respectful, well-behaved children who love their school, are proud of their achievements and bounce in to school in the mornings with a spring in their step (just ask a year 6 pupil to give you a tour of the school and you will find their enthusiasm truly infectious)
  • Within a Christian environment, our wonderful, dedicated staff team together with our supportive senior leadership team and have a collective passion for working with the children to enable them to be the best they can be
  • Fantastic new facilities in a lovely semi-rural setting with large self-contained grounds. The moment you step into the school grounds you get a real sense of a dynamic, happy, welcoming and safe environment
  • A supportive, organised and pro-active Governing Body keen to work with the new Head to enable the school to reach its full potential
  • An involved and helpful PTA
