Hoath and Chislet Church of England Primary Schools have been federated for 13 years. Although each school enjoys its own personality, environment, uniform and staff, there are many benefits for both schools to be able to work collaboratively. For example, we are able to share  celebrations, training opportunities, experiences, resources, teaching expertise etc.

The schools share a Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team, comprising  Acting Headteacher of the Federation, Acting Deputy Headteacher of Chislet and Deputy Headteacher of Hoath / SENCo for the Federation.

Being set in the heart of east Kent countryside, both schools value their much loved outdoor spaces and Forest School has been a major feature of the schools’ curriculum for several years.

Our half form entry schools have been serving the children of the two village communities and surrounding area for many years. They are both vibrant and friendly schools which are well supported in return by the local community. Chislet has storng links with St Mary’s Church – the school use the converted church for indoor PE and other large events.

Throughout the federation we aim to provide a family, stable, caring, learning environment in which children are happy to attend, are stimulated, keen to learn and flourish. We provide for a wide range of ability and are committed to providing equal opportunities and extra support to those who are vulnerable or have special needs.

We love to celebrate the children’s achievements in all areas and to see our children flourish – and we would like to see our next Headteacher grow and flourish too!
