Sandling is an extremely popular two form entry primary school and is at the heart of the local community.  With a hardworking and supportive staff, governing body and PTA who are dedicated to providing the best education for our children.  The school has extensive and well managed facilities and grounds, an ICT suite, a well stocked library and librarian, bright and airy classrooms with interactive white boards and large playing field and staff car park.  Recently the school has raised the funds for capital projects including the addition of a new multi functional space.

The school is very supportive of the whole child we have a nurture program and play therapy room, a family liaison officer who supports both children and families and excellent pastoral care.  

Sandling has a reputation for high standards of behaviour and achievement. We strive to create a special place where all children, parents, governors and staff feel valued and respected. We work together within a friendly and caring learning community. Great importance is placed on the welfare and personal development of our pupils and  this is supported by our clear child centred approach.  

Our PTA known as Friends of Sandling School support the school both in terms of time and fundraising to provide extra facilities for the children to enjoy. In recent years these have included comprehensive IT equipment, play equipment, audio equipment for the hall, gazebo, trim trail, amphitheatre, mud kitchen and a new and improved library.

The Sandling curriculum is enriched by a range of interesting and talented visits and visitors. Recently these have included, authors, a paralympian, medal winning gymnasts and a mobile astrodome.  We strive to provide a variety of curriculum-based activities including trips to the Cutty Sark, Horton Kirby, Chislehurst Caves and a year six residential.  

The school has active School and Sports Councils and an Eco Council which recently won an award for its work.  The school offers a wide variety of extra curricular clubs and activities including cookery, street dancing, wildlife and gardening.

At Sandling Primary School, pupils' personal development has the highest priority. In this supportive environment, every child is encouraged to be the best they can be and are prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. As a result, our pupils demonstrate mutual respect, compassion for others and responsible attitudes to every aspect of school.
