Please note that your application will be photocopied for distribution to the Trustees’ Selection Panel and Educational Consultant. Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check and prudent checks will be made of references and employment history.
Complete the application ensuring that all boxes are completed
- Write an accompanying letter of application, addressed to the Chair of Trustees, of no more than two sides A4 paper in length, which enhances but does not repeat the information on the application form.
- You should ensure your letter says how and why you meet the essential and desirable criteria found on the person specification and which you have not already referred to on the application form. You must give relevant examples of how your experience has prepared you for this significant position.
- You should also outline what your initial priorities would be during your first year in post as Headteacher at Borden Grammar School.
- Taking the above approach will assist the Trustees in shortlisting, so they can clearly see whether you meet their requirements. Trustees are totally committed to ensuring this recruitment process is fair and transparent and will work in line with the equal opportunity act.

Applications will receive an acknowledgement of their email. If you have not heard further after the date for shortlisting you must regrettably assume that you have not been successful.

Shortlisting - Friday 07th February 2020
Interviews - Tuesday 03rd March 2020 & Wednesday 04th March 2020
School Visits - Friday 17th January 2020, Tuesday 21st January 2020 and Wednesday 22nd January 2020 - 09:00 to 11:30 or 14:00 to 15:00
