Founded in 1958, The Archbishop's School is an amalgamation of two secondary modern schools - a boys' school and a girl's school. The school was built to provide much needed space and resources to ensure the children of Canterbury were well catered for.

Today we are a mixed ability Church of England Foundation school located on St Stephen's Hill in Canterbury. With magnificent views of Canterbury Cathedral and a stone's throw away from the University of Kent, we are placed at the heart of the city of Canterbury.

We believe that every student can be a successful learner, whatever their background, ability, interests or talents, and are committed to instilling this belief to ensure their success.

Our role as a Church of England School is to help nurture both academic excellence and to help shape young people who can make a significant contribution to the community they serve. Through our distinctive Christian character we strive to make a difference to the lives of all students, whom we are privileged to teach.
