Milton Court Academy is a one-form entry primary school for children aged 4 to 11 years old, with a Nursery provision. The school was recently judged to ‘require improvement’ by OFSTED and we are working hard to ensure that we are judged as a ‘good’ school for the next inspection. We need a committed headteacher who can help us to further raise standards to achieve this.

Working in collaboration with all stakeholders we aim to inspire and nurture happy and confident children through exciting experiences and a learning environment that is:

  • Engaging where children have a real thirst for knowledge through a creative and broad curriculum.
  • Challenging and meaningful where lessons entice children to work harder, think differently and apply their knowledge in different ways.
  • Inclusive where all children are expected achieve personal excellence no matter what their starting point is.
  • Aspirational where we do not accept disadvantage as a reason for pupils not achieving their very best.

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring leader with a clear strategic vision for improving the school's effectiveness and raising standards and expectations through strong and exceptional leadership and management.

We can offer:

  • An exciting challenge where you can truly make your mark
  • The benefits of being part of the forward thinking REAch2 Academy Trust - one of the most successful primary Trusts in the country
  • A collaborative programme, the first for any MAT in the country, to introduce Visible Learning into our schools: Click here for video from Prof John Hattie
  • A wide range of professional development opportunities and the opportunity to work with some of the best educational professionals in the country
  • Strong induction and high levels of support from the regional team in order to make the initial improvements needed to achieve rapid improvement.

Our headteacher:

  • Is a dynamic, motivational leader with a proven success record of improving teaching and learning
  • Leads by example and has a track record of raising standards and levels of achievement
  • Is able to inspire and motivate staff
  • Is an excellent, engaging communicator who will develop strong relationships with children, parents and the wider community
