Sholden CEP School

About the School

Please read a letter from the Chair of Governors, Robert and a letter from the Director of Education, Quentin Roper.

Sholden Church of England Primary School is a small, church primary school located on the outskirts of Deal. We have 4 classes and approximately 100 pupils on roll. We have wonderful, hardworking and well behaved pupils and a dedicated team of professionals to lead them.

Our school is a vibrant place with passionate and committed staff determined to ensure that all children fulfil their potential. At Sholden, the children come first, each child is truly unique and we aim to develop all so they become rounded individuals and are well prepared for their future lives.

The school includes children of all abilities and aptitudes and provides an exciting and varied curriculum which caters for the academic, musical, artistic, creative, sporting and spiritual needs of our pupils. There are extra special relationships between our children, their families and the school community and we believe these are key to a successful educational partnership.

Sholden School also has close links with many local groups, clubs, and churches including St Leonard's Church and St Nicholas Church. All work closely with the school to help with the education of our children. We work very closely with the local churches and regularly visit them for services or learning opportunities.

Here's what the children would like in their new Headteacher:

Love

Our Learning Powers:

We also have a set of Learning Powers which are in place across the whole school to ensure that children have the right attitude to their learning and to enable them to get the best from their learning. They are:
