Stowting C.E.P. School is a delightful school situated in the quiet countryside of the rolling hills of the North Downs, in Kent.  It rests adjacent to the ground of the Parish Church and comprises of both original old school building and a new block. There are currently 94 pupils with the maximum capacity being 105. The Christian values of: Peace, Trust, Friendship, Thankfulness and Forgiveness are displayed around the school and the children lead Christian celebrations in the beautiful old church throughout the year.

The staff and Governors aim to provide the children with an education designed to help develop their life skills to the full. We provide a calm, caring, happy and positive atmosphere in which children are encouraged to develop further through the many clubs, after school activities and productions at Christmas, Easter and Summer. These include a popular cooking club and ‘Water Colour painting’ led by a local artist. The school community are pro-active in raising funds for a nominated charity for the year; last year £4,000 was raised for the RNLI and the Year 6’s were treated to a ride in a lifeboat at Dover.

There is a very supportive Parent Association who work hard to raise additional funds for the school through many events held throughout the year.  These have included popular quizzes and summer / Christmas fairs.

Parents are very supportive of the school and in a recent parental opinion survey boasted the school’s strengths and attractiveness are:

  • “good teaching / high quality staff”
  • “Small village school”
  • “caring / friendly / good ethos”
  • happy / welcoming
  • “Christian ethos”.
