The large and historic town of Tunbridge Wells is situated in West Kent, near to the border of East Sussex.  The town lies in the beautiful Weald of Kent and gives scope for school trips in the countryside, as well as being within striking distance of London. Less than an hour from London and the south coast, Tunbridge Wells is a popular town for families.

The town offers a variety of cultural and social opportunities. Situated ten minutes’ walk from the centre, The Wells School serves a diverse community. There is a range of eclectic local businesses including farm shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and small independent shops. The large and historic Grosvenor and Hilbert Recreation ground was awarded a Heritage Lottery grant of £2.3m in late 2013 to develop its community facilities.

Not only surrounded by beautiful countryside, Tunbridge Wells also boasts six superbly maintained parks and is near to numerous National Trust properties. The town is served by two mainline rail stations, has two thriving theatres, a multiplex cinema and a number of galleries including the Tunbridge Wells Museum and Gallery.
