Churchill Church of England Primary School is on the edge of Weserham town surrounded by green spaces and only a short walk to the centre. Westerham is a charming market town and civil parish in the Sevenoaks district of Kent, South East England. It sits in the valley of the River Darent and lies on the border of Kent with Greater London and Surrey.

Westerham is conveniently located around 20 miles to the centre of London and only 6 miles to the commuter town of Sevenoaks. The nearest stations are Oxsted (4 miles) going into London Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction; Sevenoaks (6 miles) going into Charing Cross, London Bridge, Waterloo and Cannon Street. There are also a number of buses that cover the local area.  

Westerham has historical links back to the Vikings and Romans. The town is very green and surrounded by the beautiful Kent countryside. There are some fantastic old buildings of interest and beautiful gardens to see including Chartwell where Winston Churchill lived until his death.
There is a local butchers and greengrocers as well as a couple of supermarkets to cover the essentials. Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month there is a Farmers Market with fresh local produce. As it’s a lovely small town, instead of the usual monotony of high street offerings, you will find a range of delightful independent shops of handmade ice cream, antiques, home ware, jewellery and clothes. There is always Sevenoaks nearby for some serious retail therapy.

With over 15 places to eat and drink including cafes, pubs, Italian, Chinese, Indian, and fish and chips, you are spoilt for choice for a town this size. There are some fantastic walks and trails around the area which would make a wonderful way to finish off a hearty Sunday lunch.

If you are into sport there is the Westerham Football Club which also has a junior team. Other sports clubs include Golf, Bowling, and Tennis. Westerham has a thriving community with many ways to get involved and become a part of this charming town.
