Victoria Road Primary School is a popular, oversubscribed, one form entry school with 210 pupils on roll. The traditional Victorian building is more than 100 years old and located in the heart of Ashford, 5 minutes’ walk from the main railway station.
We are happy being a small school with a hardworking team of staff who are motivated to support every child. Our children are friendly and a pleasure to teach. We are a welcoming family school providing a happy and supportive learning environment.
The school makes good use of its space, especially the development of an outdoor reception class area. There are seven attractive classrooms and a good staff area.
We have a Breakfast Club and a variety of after school clubs for all the children to participate in. The leisure centre is within walking distance and is used regularly for swimming as well as other sports. In addition, the children often go on outings where they have been complimented on their excellent behaviour by members of the public.
The school was judged as 'Good' in an inspection carried out by Ofsted in September 2014 following a period of rapid improvement. The staff are focused on improving further and building on the outstanding features identified by Ofsted.
