About School

Stone St. Mary's Church of England Primary School is in the Parish of Stone.
Our school warmly welcomes all pupils, staff, parents and friends to share in
our friendly, caring Christian community. The feel of the school and
friendliness of our children is always the main comment from any visitor
whether an Ofsted inspector or our MP. The staff in our school enjoy the
support and loyalty of each other - they like coming to work - we work as one
big family! We are passionate about making learning fun and child-centred in
order that every child achieves and makes expected progress. We are a
growing school now in our second year of three form entry with exciting
new buildings under way.
The school offers excellent facilities for indoor and outdoor learning
and we also have a large green space for sport/games and our own orchard
is growing fast. We are at the heart of a lively community and get great
support from parents and families, especially on our annual barbeque
and our bring a parent to school days. The support also comes from
local businesses.
Our children frequently represent the school at church services, our choir
sings at Bluewater at Christmas and our sports teams take part in a variety of
activities across the area. They also take pride in what they do and the school
has been awarded Eco school, green travel , healthy school and Kent safe school
awards so that the children are proud of the school and develop into rounded
individuals.
