The Governors at Rowhill School are seeking an inspirational Headteacher to join our wonderful team from September 2025. We are looking to appoint someone with outstanding SEND leadership experience and an inspirational approach to supporting both children and staff. Rowhill School is a special and inclusive setting in Longfield, Kent, that serves the needs of up to 150 SEMH and ASD pupils. We believe it is vital to make our young people feel safe, valued, and inspired in a nurturing environment.
Our Headteacher will be responsible for the organisation, leadership, management, and running of our inclusive school. They will ensure the achievement of the best possible educational standards and outcomes for the pupils by helping each pupil develop the skills necessary to cope with life in school, beyond school in society, college, and the workplace. While promoting the safeguarding of our children, our Headteacher will also raise and promote the profile, ethos, and values of Rowhill School in the wider community.

Who are we looking for?
- An experienced SEN practitioner with proven senior leadership and managerial experience within a special school.
- An inspiring leader with outstanding teaching skills who has experience successfully motivating and coaching staff to continually develop their skills.
- Someone who can challenge, influence, and motivate staff, students, and others to carry the school vision forward.
- A proactive and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about educational developments and emerging trends.
