The school lies in the peaceful village of Ide Hill, within the Kent district of Sevenoaks, South East England. 
Ide Hill is the highest village in Kent. Perched on the top of the Greensand ridge it is within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and affords breathtaking panoramic views along many of the nearby walking routes.
Surrounded by historic woods and National Trust land, the village is grouped around its wide green. Ide Hill School, St Mary's Church,  an 18th century pub and the village shop form the heart of the community. 
Emmetts Garden and Bough Beech Reservoir, havens for nature and wildlife, are within easy reach, as is the bustling town of Sevenoaks which lies 3 miles away. 
Ide Hill enjoys easy access to the A25 and M25, is only three miles from the Surrey border and within comfortable commuting distance of East Sussex. London is only a half hour train ride from Sevenoaks station taking you straight to Charing Cross or London Bridge.
