We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and caring Headteacher to build on our school’s strengths and achievements to ensure excellent provision during its next stage of development.

Cranbrook Church of England Primary is a thriving school that currently serves 202 pupils.  We provide a welcoming, safe and stimulating learning environment rooted in Christian values, enabling children to overcome obstacles and aim high.  We recognise the limitless potential of every member of our school and nurture their unique talents so that all can shine in their classrooms and wider communities.

Our values were chosen by our school community and are at the heart of our school ethos.  These values are Perseverance, Ambition, Respect and Kindness.  Our new Headteacher would be expected to champion and embody these values in all areas of school life.

Consistent practice across the school, with high expectations, provides a strong foundation and opportunities for children to collaborate and develop social skills, both indoors and out.  We are fortunate to have our own ‘Explorers’ Forest School on site, run by our Forest School Leader.  We have developed our grounds and outdoor spaces to make the most of the woodland and fields within our school site.

We are looking to appoint a leader who:

  • Shows commitment to realising the potential of every child. Someone who is passionate about ensuring that all pupils flourish, and teachers and wider staff have consistently high expectations of what each pupil can achieve.
  • Is capable of empowering others and creates an ethos within which all staff are motivated and supported to develop.
  • Has a drive to strengthen and build collaborated networks both within the school and externally with the wider community.

The position offers an excellent opportunity for an outstanding professional with school leadership experience to take a step up into a Headship role for the first time, or for an existing school leader to take on a new challenge.

They would be supported by a committed and well-organised governing body that is dedicated to school improvement and offers excellent support and challenge, as well as a full time School Business Manager.

Tours of the school will be available by appointment  For more information or to arrange a visit to the school, please contact the school office.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students.
