Description

Fulston Manor is a mixed, wide ability school, offering a comprehensive education for students between the ages of 11 and 19.

Awarded outstanding by OFSTED in all 4 categories under the new framework (2011), Fulston Manor specialises in Business & Enterprise as well as being a Leading Edge and National Support School. We were awarded Teaching School status in 2012 which is already providing exceptional professional development for our staff and the opportunity to work with other schools across all key stages. Excellent examination results at all levels in 2012 indicate the academic strength of the school whilst our pastoral system and range of extended curricular activities offer care and support for all students. In recognition of our achievements we took the opportunity to become an Academy in October 2010.

As well as specialist status, Fulston Manor is one of a number of schools across England sponsored by the Co-op Group in order to work together on developing an ethical dimension to all aspects of the curriculum. This link has opened up a range of work placements and innovative ways of involving business partners within the school, as well as providing professional development opportunities for staff.

The school offers an excellent induction programme for its entire staff.

“An outstanding school” OFSTED 2008 and 2011

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
